Fichiers pour la revue
Existing Gerber or ODB++ and BOM if available, schematics, fabrication drawings, board photographs, functional requirements, known failure history, physical sample boards and expected remaining equipment lifecycle.
Provide any available Gerber, ODB++, drill files, BOM, fabrication drawings, stack-up information, assembly files or previous production records.
If original manufacturing files are missing, provide physical reference boards for engineering analysis. Two samples are recommended when destructive analysis may be required.
Provide known operating functions, electrical interfaces, mechanical constraints, test requirements and any critical behavior that the replacement board must preserve.
Identify discontinued, unavailable or high-risk components and provide any approved alternates, sourcing restrictions or previous replacement history.
Provide prototype quantity, expected repeat-order volume and the required remaining service life of the equipment or replacement program.
Questions techniques
Les limites publiées proviennent de la matrice de capacités JETFGO. La faisabilité finale exige le dossier complet.
01What can JETFGO do for a legacy or obsolete PCB?+
JETFGO can review existing manufacturing data or physical sample boards, assess BOM obsolescence, evaluate component and material substitutions, reconstruct PCB manufacturing information and support PCB fabrication, sourcing, PCBA and testing for replacement production.
02Which files help JETFGO review a legacy PCB replacement fastest?+
Provide existing Gerber or ODB++, BOM, schematics, fabrication drawings, board photographs, functional requirements, known failure history and physical sample boards when available.
03Can JETFGO support prototypes and repeat production for legacy PCB replacements?+
Yes. After the reconstructed manufacturing data, BOM alternatives and functional requirements are reviewed, the approved engineering record can support prototype verification and controlled repeat production.
04Can JETFGO rebuild a PCB if the original Gerber files are lost?+
Yes, depending on the available reference information. Physical sample boards, photographs, schematics and other technical records can be evaluated to reconstruct the PCB manufacturing data required for production. Final feasibility depends on board complexity and engineering analysis.
05Can obsolete PCB components be replaced with modern alternatives?+
Potential substitutes can be reviewed against package, electrical, thermal, lifecycle and sourcing requirements. A replacement component should not be treated as an automatic drop-in equivalent without engineering and functional verification.
06Is a redesigned legacy PCB automatically a drop-in replacement?+
No. A reconstructed or redesigned board must be verified against the original electrical, mechanical and functional requirements before drop-in compatibility can be confirmed.
07Can JETFGO reverse engineer a physical PCB sample?+
JETFGO can evaluate physical PCB samples for hardware manufacturing-data reconstruction, including PCB fabrication information and BOM-related analysis. Depending on the project, destructive analysis of a reference board may be required.
08Does JETFGO recreate firmware or decrypt ICs during PCB reconstruction?+
No. JETFGO’s reconstruction scope focuses on PCB and PCBA hardware manufacturing data. Firmware, embedded software and IC decryption are not included and remain the customer’s responsibility.
09How many sample boards are recommended for legacy PCB reconstruction?+
Two reference boards are recommended when possible. One can remain as a functional reference while the second may be used for destructive analysis if required during hardware reconstruction.
10What is the difference between legacy PCB redesign and direct PCB copying?+
Legacy PCB redesign focuses on restoring a manufacturable and supportable hardware solution. It may include manufacturing-data reconstruction, obsolete-component replacement, material changes and controlled verification rather than simply reproducing every original item without engineering review.
